Program Philosophy

At Kids Will Be Kids, we believe that children learn best by interacting with the materials in their environment. The staff allow children to try materials by themselves and will assist them when needed. We believe that children learn SO much in the first few years of life so we are devoted to helping the development of EVERY child! We try to allow the children to achieve at their own pace to encourage a positive self-esteem. We use hands on experiences to not only prepare them for school but also for life.

We do not believe in pushing any child to learn at an accelerated rate, and will not make a child feel pressured to achieve any developmental milestones. By providing the right kind of environment we feel that children will learn at their own appropriate pace.

Learning Environment

Each month I design a curriculum theme unit for our group. These themes include either a project or a letter/number sheet for each day your child attends. I have hundreds of books sorted by themes that are rotated each week to correlate with the theme. I also work with the kids to help them write their own name which promotes a positive self-esteem and refines fine motor skills.

Our interest areas provide a wide variety of learning experiences. The interest areas that are offered include the following: Art, Science, Language & Literacy, Blocks, Dramatic Play, Sensory, and Large & Small (Fine) Motor.
